About the role
Reporting to the Philanthropy Manager (Sydney), the Development Administrator provides day to day administrative support across the Development Team, with a particular focus on Major Gifts and the Patron Program and ticketing support for the Corporate Partnerships Manager.
This role is full-time working on a 2 year fixed-term contract.
Key Areas of focus
Administration & donor servicing:
- Coordination of Patron renewals, reminders, receipts and acknowledgement letters including processing of donations
- Administrative support, including tax-time appeal and other donor projects as required
- Coordination of Philanthropy activities and events including, but not limited to, open dress rehearsals, pre-performance receptions, Patron trips and formal dinners
- Administration of expense budgets and invoices for events in NSW
- Working with Marketing, co-ordinate direct mail and print requirements, including special offers and invitations for the donor community
Stakeholder Relations:
- Coordination of ticket bookings and distribution for both Patrons and Corporate Partners
- Ensure that Opera Australia’s Patrons and donors are looked after with the highest standard of customer service
Database Management
- Manage donor records in Tessitura, Opera Australia’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database, maintaining the highest level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Create annual plans for donors in Tessitura
- Undertake database research to identify prospects
About you
- 1+ years experience working in a customer service role
- High level attention to detail, time management and an ability to be flexible and adaptable
- Great level interpersonal and relationship management skills
- 2+ years' working experience in an arts organisation and membership driven organisation, desirable
- Tertiary qulaifications in an arts-based degree or diploma in Events Management, desirable
- Knowledge of moves management fundraising is an advantage
- Excellent computer skills, database management and website skills
- A clear and confident communicator who has an eye for continuous improvement
