Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a Maintenance Worker to join the team at Sechelt Hospital in Sechelt, BC. Apply today to join our team!As a Maintenance Worker at Vancouver Coastal Health you will:
- Perform trades duties approaching the journeyman level in a variety of trades’ areas such as electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and welding.
- Perform maintenance and repair duties related to buildings and equipment and perform mechanical and electrical repairs to equipment and systems.
- Participate on the Rapid Response Team and as a member of the Maintenance team.
- You will assist other team members in their duties to ensure a timely and complete delivery of service to our clients.
- Act in various capacities, supporting maintenance in general terms.
- Act as a customer service advocate, accelerating the resolution of customer concerns.
This position may require inter-site work assignments, and working in a support role to trades personnel.

Education & Experience
- Grade 10, plus four (4) years’ recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Must have Valid BC Driver’s license, unless specified in the posting.
Knowledge & Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Ability to organize work.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
