ABOUT THE ROLE
Based in our Corporate Office in Dubai and reporting to the Corporate HR Manager , the Crewing Manager is responsible for managing the Offshore Crewing including KSA/Qatar/UAE/Subsea and Africa managing vessel personnel, crewing of company vessels , maintaining personnel documentation records, maintaining, planning, and implementing fleet crewing and compensation.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
CREWING POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
- Ensures KSA/Qatar/UAE/Subsea/Africa vessels are staffed with qualified, licensed and experienced personnel based on vessel class, customer and Company requirements.
- Understands STCW license structure.
- Responsible for maintaining updated vessel rotation plans and execution of agreed crewing strategies.
- Reviews and approves appropriate compensation adjustment recommendations.
- Ensures accurate fleet personnel payroll/administrative records
- Formulates recommendations for hiring strategies.
- Supports career planning for fleet employees.
- Knowledgeable of Company and Human Resource requirements.
- All other duties as assigned by management
CREWING SYSTEMS
- Support utilization of crewing systems by the Crewing teams, arranging training and instruction, as required;
- Design and maintain relevant dashboards to produce reliable reports on crewing statistics for the purposes of data sharing and analysis.
- Assess the suitability and integrity of the crewing software, drive any development projects, and identify opportunities for further integration
CREWING BUDGET & COST MANAGEMENT
- Drive efficiencies and cost saving in designated fleet crew costs, including travel, overlap, etc.;
- Propose and manage annual crew training and development budget;
- Review fleet crewing budgets prior to senior management approval.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience in Crewing Manager role
- Five or more years’ experience in industry and/or Crewing/ Marine Human Resources at Managerial level
- Sea going experience is considered a plus attribute.
