Well established NGO (since 1994) is seeking to appoint four TEACHER- TRAINERS who will work with underqualified preschool teachers in township areas.
THE JOB
The NGO provides training to underqualified teachers in their own preschool in township areas. The materials are prepared for the trainers, and the course leads to an N4 qualification in one or two years depending on the speed at which the teachers cover the materials. Trainers work with different schools daily, the HQ of the NGO is in the Sandton area. Trainers report to the Project Manager who is based in Sandton.
The schools served by the NGO are all over Gauteng and trainers are allocated to schools close to their home as far as possible. Trainers in the following areas are particularly welcome
Vaal
Centurion
Pretoria
West Rand
Ekhuruleni
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
1. Police Clearance certificate, SACE registration a recommendation
2. Level 5 Qualification in ECE, B Ed in ECD and Foundation Phase preferred
3. At least two years experience teaching preschool in South Africa
4. Good English (written and spoken) and at least one other South African language (not Afrikaans or SA Sign Language)
5. Drivers license and own car - trainers are paid petrol
6. Excellent people skills!!!!
7. A passion for preschool education
8. Fit, healthy and energetic
Starting date: ASAP or Jan 2024
Salary : R22kpm upwards depending on qualifications and experience
