Owned by Larus Holding Limited, a 50/50 joint venture between Leif Höegh & Co. Ltd. and Funds managed by Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners, we employ approximately 900 employees at sea and onshore.

As we expand our HR team, we're eager to welcome a dynamic Learning & Development business partner to our international team. Based in Oslo, this role is more than just a position – it's an opportunity to be a driving force, directly reporting to the VP of HR and Internal Communications and contributing to enabling the Höegh strategy. The role will play a pivotal role in the team which is spread between Manilla and Oslo and be responsible for the training and development of our managers and employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Empowerment through Training: Lead the professional growth of our managers and employees by designing and implementing comprehensive training initiatives and spearhead team development sessions.
- HR Expertise: Provide consultative advice on HR matters, ensuring the alignment with our organisation's vision and goals.
- Forward-Thinking L&D Approach: Focus on the competencies and skills essential for the present and future, ensuring we're always a step ahead in the industry and able to support the organisation through changes.
- Competency Mapping & Career Development: Support our managers and employees in mapping out competencies, aiding in individual career progression.
- External Collaboration: Assess and collaborate with third-party providers to bring in specialized training and programs, making sure we get the best for our team.
About You:
- Educational Achievements: You are likely to have a Masters degree in a relevant field such as HR Management, Leadership or Organisational Psychology. Professional certifications and licenses are an integral part of your professional toolkit in addition to knowledge of employment law.
- Experience: Your depth of experience is invaluable, and while familiarity with the shipping industry is an advantage, it's not obligatory.
- Integrity & Accountability: You consistently exhibit a high degree of personal and professional integrity, matched with accountability and a proactive approach.
- Technological Proficiency: Mastery of Microsoft Office tools, especially TEAMS, PowerPoint, and Excel, is a given.
- Trend-Savvy: You like to stay ahead of the curve and are well-informed about progressive HR practices and the latest trends in the L&D domain. These will include a mixture of at least some of the following: - Learning Management Systems (LMS), Corporate Training Platforms, E-learning Course Creation, Microlearning Platforms, Learning Experience Platforms (LXP), Collaboration & Virtual Classroom Tools, Adaptive Learning Platforms or similar digital tools and the use of AI.
- Operational Insight: Your know-how extends to talent acquisition, onboarding, succession planning and local employment law.
- Flexibility: Your energy and drive are accompanied by a solutions-oriented approach, adaptability, and desire to contribute to a high-performing team.
- Collaborative Autonomy: You excel as part of a team and are equally proficient working autonomously, with little guidance, ensuring results are achieved.
- Communication: Articulation and clear, concise communication are among your standout skills.
- You have a high level of fluency in written and spoken English and an ability to build constructive professional relationships across geographies, generations, and organisational boundaries.
